Cardio MedBed Therapy - EECP (Enhanced External Counterpulsation)

is a non-invasive cardiovascular regeneration treatment designed to restore and strengthen the heart and circulatory system. By increasing the amount of blood returning to the heart, this therapy delivers oxygen to previously oxygen-starved areas, allowing the heart to function more efficiently and helping reduce chest pain and fatigue. Using gentle, rhythmic external pressure synchronized with the heartbeat, the Cardio MedBed stimulates the formation of new blood vessels, creating natural bypass pathways around narrowed or blocked arteries. This enhanced circulation supports cardiovascular health, improves oxygen delivery, and promotes long-term healing without surgery or medication.

BENEFITS OF CARDIO MEDBED

Supports Heart Health

By improving blood flow and oxygen delivery, EECP helps relieve chest pain (angina) and enhances coronary artery function, leading to greater endurance and reduced discomfort.

Reduces Fatigue & Shortness of Breath

Increased oxygen supply to vital organs helps boost energy levels, improve breathing, and enhance overall physical performance.

Promotes Natural Circulation Improvement

EECP stimulates angiogenesis (new blood vessel formation), creating natural bypass pathways to help restore proper circulation in restricted areas.

Assists in Managing Heart Failure & Cardiac Function

By reducing cardiac workload, EECP supports heart muscle efficiency, helping to strengthen the heart and minimize strain on the left ventricle.

Aids in Vascular & Anti-inflamatory Health

This therapy encourages blood vessel dilation, enhances elasticity, and reduces vascular inflammation, lowering the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Improves Blood Flow to the Brain & Organs

Better circulation means enhanced oxygen and nutrient delivery to vital organs, supporting brain health, kidney function, and overall systemic recovery.

Enhances Nitric Oxide Production

Better circulation means enhanced oxygen and nutrient delivery to vital organs, supporting brain health, kidney function, and overall systemic recovery.

Helps Address Circulatory Disorders

By increasing blood volume and improving blood flow dynamics, EECP assists in managing poor circulation, cerebrovascular diseases, and ischemic conditions.

Cardiovascular Restoration Benefits

Increase of blood oxygen, Increase strength and function of heart muscles, Increase of blood and lymph flow, Improves oxygen consumption (VO2), Resulting in increased excercise tolerance.

How The Cardio MedBed Works

Cardio MedBed Treatment is administered through three pairs of external inflatable cuffs that are applied around the lower legs, upper legs and buttocks. These cuffs continuously inflate and deflate between the resting period of the heartbeat and increase blood returned to the heart.

How does Cardio MedBed increase blood flow?

It stimulates the openings or formation of small branches of blood vessels to create a natural bypass around narrowed or blocked arteries.

FAQ's

How does the Cardio MedBed work?

During treatment, specialized cuffs gently compress the lower body in sync with your heart cycle. This action increases the amount of blood returning to the heart, improving oxygen supply to areas that may not be receiving adequate circulation.  Over time, this enhanced blood flow can encourage the development of healthier circulation pathways and support overall cardiovascular efficiency.

Does the treatment hurt?

No. Most clients describe the experience as firm but comfortable compression around the legs and hips. Many find it relaxing and even nap during their session.

How long is a session?

A typical session lasts about one hour. Consistency is important for optimal results, and a series of treatments is often recommended depending on your goals.

How many sessions will I need?

This depends on your current cardiovascular health and what you’re hoping to achieve. Some people feel increased energy within the first few sessions, while therapeutic programs for circulation support may involve a series of treatments over several weeks.

A personalized plan will be discussed during your consultation.

Is there any downtime?

No. The Cardio MedBed is completely non-invasive, and you can resume normal activities immediately after your session.

Is it safe?

Yes, when administered by a trained practitioner and after proper screening. Because the therapy is external and drug-free, it avoids many of the risks associated with surgical or pharmaceutical interventions.

How will I feel after the treatment?

Cardio MedBed Therapy (EECP) is often described as intense exercise while laying down. If your cardiovascular health is compromised, you may feel tired after the first few sessions. This is normal, especially if you haven’t been exercising. Usually, after a few sessions you will begin to notice a increase in energy and stamina.

How long do the benefits of Cardio MedBed Therapy last after a course of 35hrs of treatment?

The International EECP® Patient Registry (IEPR) collects data on the safety, effectiveness, and long-term benefits of Cardio Bed Therapy. The data collected thus far has shown that the benefits of this therapy can last up to three years after completing the first course (35 hours) of treatment. Other smaller studies have shown the benefits last up to five years in some patients. With lifestyle modifications such as improvements to diet and exercise, the benefits can last even longer.
